Amanda and Cody are expecting! It was a dream come true to be able to go back to Parris Island for their maternity shoot. We took their engagement photos there about this time last year and I fell in love with Parris Island. I have seen my fair share of live oaks in my day… but the trees on this island rule them all. It really did look like Narnia. It is also so much fun to ride around on the golf cart with Cody because he knows a lot of history of Parris Island so our shoot doubled as a tour as well. There are still bombs lying in the marsh from WWII… a crashed airplane… tales of sunken ships and gold. All lying just an hour and a half up the road! Parris Island is one of two places that Marines are trained and the only location that trains female Marines. Cody works at the golf course on base so we got an exclusive “in” to that area.

Amanda and Cody are going to be such wonderful parents! They have two Weimaraners that made an appearance for this session. I love spending some time in couple’s home environments to really add a personal touch to the session. Thanks for everything, guys!
