I’ve done it. I found heaven on Earth. Cumberland Island is a small barrier island off the coast of Georgia. It is a dreamy wonderland of pristine beaches, massive live oaks, castle-like ruins and wild horses. It is reported that someone once said that Cumberland was just “God’s way of talking to Him self and my does He carry on.” I was so excited to share this experience with my good friend Phillip Van Nostrand who I’ve known for several years through the photography community. Phillip is a phenomenal photographer out of New York City and I had the pleasure of having him travel down my way for some friendness/businesship fun haha. We spent the day biking trails and chasing wild horses. We may have been impaled by a few cacti in the process… but was it worth it? Absolutely. It was a photographer’s dream! We filmed an interview for his LaRousse Podcast… which you will be able to listen to here soon. He’s doing incredible things and always leaves me feeling so inspired and filled with ideas. If you are going to Vegas in about a month for WPPI you can acquire some inspiration from the man himself … He is teaching a class about how to edit and deliver a wedding in one day! I am beside myself with excitement at some events coming up where I will get to adventure with and learn from so many of my industry friends. We only get to get together once or twice a year… but it’s always some of my favorite days. YAY!
