Our Trip to Hendersonville, North Carolina

FILED IN: Personal

I saved Memorial Day weekend as a time to take a break from all things business and engage in all things playtime. IT WAS SO RAD! We went to Hendersonville, North Carolina and stayed at the cutest airbnb on the main street downtown. There was a garden festival happening so the street was blocked off to cars and had all sorts of vendors lined up all weekend. We did a lot of walking, eating, drinking and playing in the mountains! I highly recommend the following places:

Black Bear Coffee Co

Sierra Nevada Brewery

Cruising the Blue Ridge Parkway

Postero (AMAZING restaurant in Hendersonville)

The Starving Artist (Love me a good art supply store)

Honey & Salt – really great brunch place!

One of my highlights were stopping into the starving artist for art supply goodies (my kryptonite) and then taking them to the Sierra Nevada brewery which is just like disneyland for adults. We sat outside sketching what we saw while eating great food and drinking great beer! At one point it was raining, but we were safe and dry under an umbrella. Such a lovely early summer thing to do!

I also loved when we got into a mean game of Phase 10.

I want to go back for next year’s plant festival! I got some fuchsia’s, venus fly traps, pitcher plants and a pretty cotton candy colored airplant! WHOOP!

And of course we had to stop into the West Elm outlet on the way home. All in all, a killer time was had by all!
