It’s been a little while since I offered some helpful information on what to wear for boudoir shoots… so I figured that it was time to share some great tips I have collected recently!

I have found that five “outfits” is a solid number to work with. An outfit may consist of your significant other’s button up shirt, a gorgeous chunky knit west elm blanket that I have at the studio, or something awesome that you find to bring in! One of my recent clients found an AMAZING website that has lingerie that looks like it was from Victoria Secret, but is just a fraction of the cost. The website is Fashion Nova. She brought in the CUTEST lace one pieces.

Speaking of one pieces, I think that they look great on everyone! As well as bringing in robes to use creatively, drape off of your shoulders and such!

I also love when my clients bring in special items… whether that is a piece of jewelry that is important to you, the shirt your fiancee was wearing the day you met, or his army jacket! I adore any opportunity to create photographs that aren’t just gorgeous, but meaningful as well.

Feel free to bring in any options that you are deciding between. We usually start with what you are least excited to wear and then work our way up to your favorite outfit. It is just so much fun. Feel free to leave any questions in the comments regarding outfits and I am happy to answer them!
