Looking back at Leslie & Josh’s Charles H Morris Center Wedding fills me with so much joy! I mean- it does not get happier than this. I don’t think their wedding day could have gone over more perfectly. Shout out to Vanessa Saturday of Spectacular Saturday Events! This is a wedding that I had really been looking forward to, as I already knew and loved Leslie from knowing her in high school. Not to mention that Leslie and Josh had been favored guests at so many of my previous weddings as well.
One reason I think that Leslie & Josh’s wedding day gallery is filled with such rich, emotional moments is that they trusted me to run wild with my creativity and do a solid job playing photojournalist to their wedding day. They were fully present in the moment without worrying too much about what “should” be happening at that time.
Leslie reserved the most charming Airbnb in the heart of the historic district, just steps from Crawford Square. We opted to do their first look and portraits in this most picturesque square and it proved to be such a lovely backdrop! It was also not far from their ceremony and reception venue, the Charles H Morris Center.
I’d also like to highlight a few special things that Leslie and Josh planned for their wedding day that were so unique and totally amazing. Leslie opted to do a modern take on a traditional staple- the wedding cake. The front of the cake designed by Madeline Albritton seemed like a beautiful, traditional and not to mention delicious wedding cake. From the back view she featured a few of Josh’s favorite Marvel characters. How fun is that!? I also love that Leslie and Josh had a sparkler entrance to their reception with only their wedding party and family in attendance. This made it so much more intimate… and not to mention easier to coordinate! Haha! I think that this is also an incredible option for couples who plan to celebrate with friends and family into the night without needing to add additional photographer coverage for that single photo. I highly recommend this option!
Leslie and Josh, I can’t thank you enough for trusting me with your wedding day memories. Hunter and I treasure you immensely and can’t wait to spend more time with you in the future!
